ROCK

    give it to me
       and then go
   i don't want
       to linger
    in What Could Be
    just one time
          to dispel the myth
     you've grown too big
   inside my head
  kill the glittering fantasies
      with one solid dose
         of reality
  tear the garden down
  trample the roses
    only after you destroy
        it all
  can i begin
     to rebuild
    then there will be
    no more temples
    no more stained glass windows
    no more statues
    only rock,
       a solid foundation.
