Love Olympics

I feel as if I have dove headfirst into a
Deluxe
Three-dollar
Double hot fudge
Carmel sundae
             With nuts

And got stuck midway
Between ice cold scoops 
Of plain vanilla
             Suspended

Thus denied the rich gooey bottom
That I had plunged for

Therefore, I will calmly remove the cherry
             From atop my head
Spit out the nuts
And dive again
              I am going for the GOLD!
