my nails are dirty
  and uneven
tacky remnants
  of Cherry Burst
    nail polish
  linger on

my stomach is huge
I cover it with
borrowed maternity clothes

all the lingerie sold
in the garage sale

i guess i've lost
all appeal
but appeal
has only
gotten me
this far

Cosmo is a crock
don't comb
your hair.
