The Love of Chess
I�ve played chess with our love
The possibilities are endless
Wonderful and provocative
Trying to see the possible moves
Each move says I love you
Each counter move says you love me too
We move together each holding tightly
Yet giving one another the space
And freedom to be
You take a pawn I take one too
I know the moves get trickier
The challenge will be to keep a balance
Without too great an upset
Yet there has to be a winner
I only hope that it�s the love we know
And cherish in our hearts
So we can begin each match anew
With excitement and challenge
Of even greater love to come
