is there enough of your essence
in the context of
words well-chosen
to have given me the depth
of the experience of loving you?
more than a rhetorical question,
but then what we have is more than
the best diction can circumscribe
there is no such fence around us
even though the articulation
of a thorough loving glance
is difficult, not to mention
the tenderness only our skin
knows the language of
our love has made things
possible that we never thought
of dreaming about
before there was us
before there was yes
