sea monkeys are playing red light green light inside my tangled
mass of Hydrience dyed hair
and I don't care about the bratty surprise storm outside
the window that reminds us with smug bitchiness
that we are not
a planet of one
this fun is for free
no money down
no guilt
no doubt
satisfaction is not the only guarantee
we can see for miles from our coral castle
and when I sleep
you stand sentry
and the sharks know better
than to pick us
for a snack.
