crystal days of sunset melodies
passing as a steady effervescent stream
you in that golden yellow robe
sitting on a summer dream
smiling eyes brighter than a sunset sky
glistening with moisture brimming unshed
as u take gently into your hand
a simple gift from my heart to thee
the care with with you take in unwrapping
this too ordinary paper with bow
one would think it held an emperors kiss
not something from an ordinary joe
how can one begin to explain
all the many myriad ways
one can so move into your soul
to make the world come richly alive
