Just Some Girl | Scantily clad people. |
Indefensible Sushi | Scantily clad Just Some Girl. |
Rhetoric | Sushi - I second that! Scantily clad Just Some Girl doing yardwork, pressing a white cotton swatch to her neck and lips every so often; all the while never knowing that her tee-shirt has clung to every square inch of her wet torso. Sure beats watching my 70-year-old neighbor. JSG, why don't you send us all an alert next time you plan on weeding your mystery garden... |
Chances | Ceiling fans and minimal bedlinen. |
kevin urenda | Yes, I agree with Chances... One additional thing: ice cubes |
Inflatable Sushi | road trips and reefers |
Trout Almondine | tiptoeing through the daisies like a little girl |
wordley | Evenings spent watching the sun go down with my old friend mr. J. Daniels |
RennieLorca | Sailing, sunsets, dancing under the moon and stars. Swimming. Memorial Day weekend when the outdoor pools open. However, I couldn't find my ice skates this year, so I stayed home for their chilly opening ... burrrrrrrrrrrrr!! Where IS summer this year?? ..... Rennie |
toon | The warm humid nights under the star light is one thing i really admire about summer. All the animals and Amphibians are out from hibernation so you can see the peaceful animals live their life as they repeat it from the previous year. that is what i Admire about Summer |
Max-Rom | It's a toss-up 'tween summer nights struggling to tame the rugged bed sheets against the heat of your skin and the cool taste of lemony-ade on the tip of your tongue. Ahhh...Summer. ;) |
cryingshame58 | while my children were in school, my favorite thing about summer was that we didn't have to be on tight schedule...but now it's more simple...my favorite thing now is daylight savings time, so I can enjoy more sunlight and activities outdoors (gardening) after 5:00 pm... |
violet | watermelon slices and fireworks, ocean breezes and sun burned noses. ice cream, evening strolls and romance. |
muryan | Tanning Lotion, coconut scented, that unreachable spot on your back, and some soft but firm hands to help your out. Iced tea, with a slice of lemon, cold kisses in the summer heat. Hot sunny days, cloudy languid afternoons, and having those soft but firm hands cup your face as he gives you a cold kiss in the rain. |
Misti | Sno cones? No, I don't eat those anymore. Road trips? No, I don't take those anymore. The ocean? The beach? I live in a desert now. These past two summers I've gone to Vegas with my husband. We're going again in July. We stay at the MGM Grand and ride the bus to Fremont Street and get drunk and get lei'd by the preternaturally pretty hostesses at Mermaids. So Vegas is my favorite thing about summer. |
Jon | Air conditioners. |
B.K. | Mimosa and fireflies, roses and magnolias. limeade and grilling out, daisy dukes and white t-shirts, walking the trail with the corgis. Used to be the Newport Jazz Festival now maybe Dancing In the District. Lemon and Key Lime Pie, homemade ice cream, Blackberries and fuzzy peaches, homemade blueberry buttermilk waffles. Don't get me started. |
Kirk | Used to be "no school and lots of free time". Now it's long days, I think. I much prefer the ratio of light to dark. |
Kirk | Oh yeah, the women in tanktops thing is great too :-) Going crazy here in London...luckily Mo doesn't mind so much. |
Champagne | My favorite thing about summer is WATER. Oceans, lakes, rivers, pools, streams, sprinklers, hoses - ice cold glasses of WATER. Splish - splash ;-) |
tj holland | Russian olives in bloom. They wait till dusk to open up smell like sweet rain. Nights out in the back yard, Ginger Peach candles from Pier 1 glowing on the terrace. A respite from the baking heat of the day, a bottle of vox populi and silence. I can hear the trees grow and the earth turning. Distant sounds of water. The reflection of the moon echoes off the lake. I can feel the cool damp in the air. Natural cotton sheets and furniture of oriental darkwood. Jute rugs and sand on the threshold. Children laughing on the dark ocean beach, pounding surf and pebbles rolling under the waves. The crackle and glow of beach fires. |
Inflatable Sushi | update - scantily clad 20ish beermaidens who wear plaid mini-skirts and tanks tops bearing the slogan "you're killing my buzz"...no, even better - when those skirts and tank tops are being used as a bed for my kitty cats somewheres across the room, barely visible through clouds of bong smoke ...yeah, thats the ticket. |
indefensible sushi | H...M BL...ND HV T TLK LK THS NW...KND SCKS... :( |
Misti | I gave it some more thought and decided What is Summer Without: masturbating with Otter Pops making love to the Beach Boys masturbating with souvenir back scratchers having sex on a nude beach masturbating while watching "Beach Blanket Bingo" getting it on with the pizza guy while my husband is at work (pray for my soul...pray very, very hard) (for the irony deficient...um...nevermind) |
indefensible sushi | OK, it's time to change this question already...so I'm answering a different one. To wit: If you were reincarnated as a punctuation mark, which one would it be? My answer will be kept in a sealed bank vault until such time as new Blender arrives or the world ends - whichever comes first. |
