Do events of the world give you perspective about your relationship(s)? In what way?

B.K.	Ok yes, I want to lose ten more lbs. Be able to run a mile or two without stopping. Learn how to shoot and load a gun and start getting my survival act in gear with all the equipment necessary JUST IN CASE. (That should turn my Darlin on right there ha or scare him to death one hahaha)
Star of David	Yes, when bad things happen they make me realise how grateful I should be for all I have and all the love. At times like that all the bad memories and ghosts pale into insignificance and I am left feeling so thankful to God for everything in my life which in turn makes the relationship stronger and more appreciated.
cryingshame58	Yes, for instance, in November my daughter is moving 500 miles away and I will miss her deeply...but not as much as the mother that misses her daughter that has gone missing in Aruba...My heart and spirit prays for those precious lives that changed from one trip to Aruba...I will know that my daughter is in a safe place with her new husband and new life...the kind of life that i taught her to live--independent from me...most likely I won't see her often enough, but will see her beautiful shining face again to wrap my arms around...I've never been one to collect material possessions, but always thankful for what I do have...I've lived within my means financially so always aware and thankful of the comforts of my lifestyle...With Katrina came the loss of lives, homes and jobs, that has left me more grateful than ever before, but causes me to go out and form relationships to the people that have lost...
