Sleeping so deeply, so deeply at rest Suddenly awoken, by a pain in my breast A sharp burning pain, a scorching like burn I opened my eyes, and looked and I turned So what did I see, when I woke from my rest A red heart engraved at the top of my breast Etched in deep crimson, shaped in deep red Tattooed little heart, while I slept in my bed Branded by someone, over my heart Over my breast, the left center part Why would they do it, how did they get in To my inner chambers, to do this great sin I don't want to be labeled, or marked with a sign Disfigured, nor tatooed, with any design How did they do this, to me, while I slept So quietly they scarred me, so softly they crept .......... |
