We met online (what amazing rapport!) It was as if we'd loved before. I laughed outloud at things you wrote as you crossed the cyber-moat. My fingers flew across the keys to answer your "please meet me" pleas. And that rapport continued through when we met 'neath sky of blue. We talked and touched until the dawn when the sun peered o'er the lawn. With tender sigh and soft caress, you said "I'll see you soon", and left. And then once weekly we DID meet to talk and laugh with kisses sweet. Yet each time we met it seemed that you had less time to convene. And that wealth of e-conversation waned to briefest salutations. Till one day I scanned online, and saw your ad once more defined. Your looking for that perfect match made me feel a tad detached. So excuse me if I grieve to see my erstwhile lover leave. I guess our love meant more to you In cyberspace where you were true. |
