I knew a Dark Angel One that swept in silently And tore my heart away Leaving my battered soul to bleed The silent cries of the night Echoed my torturous pain Blindly running in the mist I searched for hope, cried for love But on the wings of that angel Were carried away all my dreams and hopes So violently snatched from my soul Callously tossed to the wind Then one pure and loving soul Came into my life And restored what was taken from me Breathed new life into this decaying form His gentle touch wiped away my tears Kind eyes explored my soul He knew my needs and desires Even before I knew what they were I give my all to him Knowing that in return He has already given his all to me His heart, his body and his soul |
