My dark bleeds silently Tempered glass impotent To the seeping black An intimate shadow Stealing into your cracks Your wounded areas That have never truly healed Allowing the hurt to slip in Over and over Again Unsuspecting Flowing through your sheets Onto Your body Like a second skin Your tears rained precious into my empty heart And never mind that your soul was melting clean away I promised to make it all right And when you first touched me I felt my borders melt away As you became a part of me, my life Only now Only now it is my tears That wet the dark As they bleed silently Emptying this barren heart Shedding my soul Like a second skin. |
