OBLIGATED He was all my dreams of what a man should be Fine, sweet, loving to me He was there when I opened my eyes Next to me when I whispered goodnight He was the man who made love to me for hours..Then held me tight. But he said he wasn't obligated He didn't owe me a thing Why, Oh why could he mention his wedding ring? I might have understood the truth Rather then being hurt by lies But he wasn't Obligated he said, I was just a girl, not his wife. His smile was the sun to my day His arms were my shield on the dark rainy days. He wipe my tears, said the word love He promised he never hurt me He promised he'd be there, never go away But he said he wasn't obligated to tell me a thing Even though he slept in my bed He said he didn't know me well enough To tell me what was going on in his head Why Oh why,.. Did he have to lie?
