The flames in the sky
Captivate me so completely
That my thoughts fly away,

Straight up to those glowing streaks,

Those smouldering embers,

Those feathery shimmers in the clouds,

Thoughts of when?

Thoughts of tomorrow,

And the years to come,

And what the rainbow
Promises to bring.
