Life is what we make it and this I know holds true We strive to reach our many goals yet only reach a few Though we cannot have it all nor taste all of lifes treasures Doesn't mean we should give up nor alter our endeavors Some become like statues let love just pass them by They blame their fate on destiny they never even try Life may deal some cards to us that are hard to play We might not have the ace of hearts much to our dismay Yet giving up and letting go of the options life supplies Is like staying on a sinking ship when another passes by We can't control the outcome of the choices that we make But we have more direction by the chances that we take Yes life is what we make it we have tremendous power The choice to drift as helpless buoys or command the lighthouse tower ~ |
