In our dark lair we lie awake. Slivers of moonbeams slip through the shades and glint on the orbs of your eyes. Cosmos I often wonder about. If only I could see through those eyes and see what you see. Have they ever been more beautiful? Shadows of melancholy, aching, some unnamable, indescribable emotion... If only I could find that ember that lies within and ignite... There is so much of you that I cannot reach. Our pretenses stand between us. Time and distance stands between us. A black universe stands between us. I wish the earth stand still. And for one solitary moment here on earth forget this life. This life overwhelming me with burdens and the absence of you. If only your thoughts were mine and our bodies dust, then maybe, just maybe... this aching would fade. Our souls would find each other and love. |
