Perhaps I don't want to give what you can't take Perhaps I don't want to see what it is that you fake I want to know but you don't want to show And I guess that's your choice and your choice alone Regardless of whether of not I understand... You know, it's been said that the heart cries in silence Yet it rejoices in the same manner So it is true that appearances are deceiving And things are not always what they seem I wish that this wasn't all there was between us I wish that this would not keep us apart But, it would seem there is a rack And I feel it is time for me to bow my head And be done with this, once and for all... It isn't about what I feel or don't feel It isn't a matter of love or lust It has to do with an emptiness, a hole, a void It has to do with that place, and what should be there Instead of the stinging silence that remains... |
