A Heart

A simple heart
Does not know
Hurt and pain.
It can not be the cause
Of grief or shame.
It is simply an organ
Meant to sustain your life.
It does not feel
Or think.
It is not a living,
Breathing,
Consuming,
Thing.
It is simply
A heart.
And a heart
Does not know pain.........

Why then,
Does it hurt so bad?
