I always seem to want what I can't have, And maybe...maybe that's just me. Or maybe that's just you-- Maybe you taught me to want what's out of reach. So, I wonder, where exactly does that leave me? I've got my heart on my sleeve, the truth in my eyes-- Do you know, can you tell? I dance around it like a gpysy would a camp fire, 'Round and 'round until the music stops or fades away. If you understand,if you see through this veil that I wear You don't seem to let on at all, not even a little. Yet when you look at me sometimes,there's fire in your eyes And I can't help wonder what you're feeling or not feeling Because every now and then, I look at you, looking at me And I find something in your gaze that I don't expect to see It's quite inconsistant,and it's something that I can't name It's a mystery, just like you And I keep having to remind myself that I'm a fool Because I always seem to want what I can't have... |
