In the stillness of the night I feel you with me I hear your heart beat With my own And with each beat Our love grows With a fierceness Yet unknown The heady staccato Of passion's call A perfect rhythm Pounds inside Invoking feelings So intense So overwhelming From them I tried to hide Yet the rhythm Called to me Lured me slowly Into the night A timid creature So familiar with the dark I shrank back From it's light But the rhythm Still called to me "Release the burden Of your fears My love for you Will ease your load, Come take my hand And dry your tears" And looking up I saw your face Loves pure light Within you glows And then the darkness From in me fled Replaced with a radiance That only true love shows |
