       i am alone
      & that is okay
     Mr. Rogers loves me
         anyway
   and i still have my toys
     and i can still fly
       i do not need
      a Peter Pan
    to guide the way
       i am not
       a lost girl
     i am capable
     of ecstasy joy ebullience
     like you
     wouldn't believe
      kisses are fine
    when they happen
     and sometimes
      sex is good
      but in my neighborhood
      there are other
     things that are
   just as nice
    and just as worthy
        of celebration
    i am not
     holding out
    for a hero
    i am not
    sleeping for
       a hundred years
      until a prince
     fights his way
     through the briars
        with his trusty sword
      and awakens me
     with a kiss
     i am acquainted
     with bliss
       RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW!!!
       and in simple ways
   i am endlessly gleeful
      and constantly
        amazed
   ...if the trolley arrives
      and you are in it
   that won't alter the fact

        inside each minute.
