You're a hollow log On my vast lawn When people ask what they see It isn't me. It's you're log - My old tree The lawn is too plain Too obvious to be The answer. But what's the question? Why a log on a lawn? It doesn't make sense No one sees the beauty of it all The juxtaposition Of you and I So the log must be moved So you say goodbye. Across a stream now you lay And it makes more sense And I'm just a lawn Bare of log or fence. And once again I go un-noticed Only this time I'm forlorn Cus I'm as empty as you're log I'm just another empty lawn. |
