i have never been great
at writing love poetry
most of my poems
have something to do
with the sad and melancholy
the dark and isolated part of love
that everyone can relate to
but each story is different
and personal
but universal
im just starting to find out
that the bright side of love
can reach an even bigger audience
so im going to try
something different
just for you
because i know you deserve it
after all i've put you through
and because you're willing to get
sucked into the madness
that is me
and i'll show you
and the whole world
my love and affection
is not limited
to my ability
to express it
with words
