I don't want to see an amazing light spectacle Or wipe the tears from my eyes for Independence And wave my flag proudly. I don't want to hear the president talk about loyalty Or think about the patriots And see an array of yellows pinks whites reds blues purples The only fire works that I really want to see- I can't. Because they only go off in your eyes. |
