i know you can feel the unspoken words as i hold you close and i kiss your lips and i pause and look into your eyes i want to tell you how much i really do love you but im afraid that once i do things will change like they always do i've never been able to keep a woman happy longer than a few months so it's surprising that you're still around after all this time still not bored still looking for more and i want to take this next step and let you in show you all the places that hurt and the places i want you to stay i want to be wholly yours i want you to be the one to take me on but im afraid but darling all i need is time so when i pause and my mouth is open and not a word is spoken just know that one day those broken moments of silence will be filled with my voice telling you how much i really do love you |
