Deep rifts of turquoise ocean scattered between us seem of little concern when tasting you, the taste of love, is what my reward can be. A boat with pristine white sails will carry me to you, over those rifts, past all shooting stars, all things earthly and celestial, and sentiments I may regret. Stripped bare until the absence of color is an abstract flood of rainbow roses and sky. When the canvas I finally paint is an image of us, not me and you, or you and I. |
