Betty Boop is looking down from above arms thrown high showing the garter on her left thigh while Popeye downs a can of spinach and '50s teenagers pretty and flushed merrily cram their limber bodies inside a phone booth there are so many people to call! so many people who will eagerly answer! and she is sitting at a bar with an empty glass and a blue anchor tattoo black hair and matching fingernails wishing she looked more like Reese Witherspoon thinking she'll never find her Ryan Phillipe while above her a poorly coiffed blonde stuck inside a '50s hell advertisement beams as she holds up an Electrolux vacuum cleaner all shiny and purposeful then there is the naked doll with the huge head holding a little devil in her right hand and a little angel in her left looking at the devil (do i dare?) how deep must one dig Gidget is chatting and doesn't have the answer Mr. Potato Head is beaming in his yellow spectacles staring blindly at a gigantic bottle of Jose Cuervo and she is from the Upper East or West side which ever is more upper trying to hold her happy Republican family together for one false shot and Tragedy and Comedy leer through the smoke plumes people on the street stare transfixed at the burning buildings not noticing the enormous frosted sprinkled donut suspended above their horrified heads and she is laughing with her cleavage in black and white and Billie Holiday is screaming (we're all love junkies) hang on to your spirit so you'll make a good haunt. |
