there was a split second as i looked into your eyes that I found I could see into your heart your spirit flew like the wind and sang with the strength of a thousand voices. it was wild and free, and somehow frightening. I tore away, but the soft touch of your hand brought me back into your gaze, as you tenderly brushed a strand of hair from my eyes no one had ever touched me like that. it broke down a barrier and reached something inside of me I never thought could exist. I wanted more, i could feel it pulsating under your skin and i hungered for another look I wanted to lose myself in your eyes--to delve into the magic beneath their sapphire depths. but a door had slammed shut, as though you wanted to hold everything still, waiting for the moment when there would be no turning back. a moment that was not meant for me... |
