Just a Naughty Minx

I never wanted it for fun
But now the words are said and done
All I want to do is run
Away into the night

You never made it crystal clear
Though dangled dreams both far and near
That through me shivered mortal fear
Of never seeing light

You thrice denied your love then caved
And still I'm not a woman saved
Not putting on a face that's braved
And never shed a tear

So now I wonder if you think
That I was just a naughty minx
A  woman with coy smiles and winks
Another by her side
