I looked into your eyes today
Those big brown beautiful eyes I loved to stare into

I always got butterflys
Sometimes it would put me into a trance
And into a deep dream state
Where I would just vision you and I
In a world with no worries
And no one in the world could ever tear us apart

But that was when I first met you
When our love was still brand new and fresh

All of a sudden something changed
And my life was forever altered
That sparkle in your eyes was no longer there
You became distant and distracted
You didn't have to say a thing to me
I already knew that your love for me was dying
Not by the way you talked or the way you acted
I knew from the look in your eye
Everything was just gone

Looking into your eyes is a difficult thing to do
