I could be sitting on a bench right now Or hitting the crossroads at petticoat junction Instead of listening to this moronic cow Across my desk trying to plan a function I could be watching drug crazed children Beg for quarters to buy Mountain Dew Enjoying the stench of the city's jetsam Or lying in the bed with you We could be sailing the Bermuda reach Risking unknown terrors frightful Or swimming naked on private beach With a dry champagne so delightful Seems life is filled with many choices Some are just plain rotten Let's listen to the sirens voices Responsibilities forgotten All play no work until such time As our meager funds run out Then back to work for a short time And away again no doubt Like Huckleberry with Jim you'll go Floating down Old Man River Stopping off to dance real slow Until you make me shiver |
