I Miss you


I miss you like cool rain
On a warm Summer day
I miss you in the moments
As thoughts of you fade away
Many things we shared
Were very, very good
How was this love so misunderstood

I miss you in Autumn
As the leaves turn brown
Wondering what might have been
If you were still around
I wish it were October (Happy Birthday)
Or maybe even June
Why does Winter have to come so soon

I miss love flourishing throughout the seasons
But life is a funny set of rhymes and reasons
As nature renews songbird and flower
The mist of your memory passes
Like a fragrant Spring shower
