ALONE



I cannot find you
As I have looked almost everywhere
In the face of my past
Or on wide smiles of broken dreams

And I miss you
Because I am alone

How so when I am surrounded
By the world of perfect
Yet I still yearn
For your taste in my mouth

Without you I have
No place to go

I remember your look
Your touch on my heart
As my quickened pulse dances
My body toward the edge of excitement

I live without you
Your memory a blur

My thoughts ache
For your return
Yet serenity seems
So very far away
