I can see myself now

not even a scar
only a healthy
place
where you once
resided

strange
how the pain
of the heart
becomes dull
lifeless
subsides
then is reborn
at least
with life
once again

what once
stole my reason
raped my mind
seems so
obscured
like glasses
to strong
for my vision

leaving
even the memory
distorted
