There was a young guy who was older His muse kept making him bolder He reached for a line And found good red wine So thanks Maggie was what he done told her Pearls he disbursed at her feet Casting about for a treat No fish on the line And alas not a rhyme So off he sailed with the fleet But not on a flagship was he He captained the only dinghy With naught but his courage Pool cue and a scourge He captured the prize of the century In port with his ill gotten gains He sent Maggie to sew up the mains While below he did sow Some wild oats with a ho And left before the spring rains Now he sails the caddoo In a leaky and broken old shoe It's a crying shame But he's not to blame He just does what he has to do |
