Left over

broken financially and emotionally
nothing to show for life's battles
except wrinkles and age
drag from the left over
half smoked re-lit cigarette
thoughts of how we cheated
others, ourself,
life and time
lovers with a unique look,
smell, taste and touch
stale passion in the air
skin red and raw
from yesterdays shadow and
love making through the hours
seasons
sharing each other
filling voids
of loneliness
with laughter,
kisses and passion
memories scattered in
the recess' of my mind
eyes closed
slight memory
of smell,
taste and touch
i remember and smile
tracing my lips
with the softness
of your kisses
passion and love
burned into my soul
knowing
our time
was the right time
at the time
and
i have no regrets
