Harris Grandpa used to say, "Problem with an eye for an eye is that everyone ends up blind." Sometimes I think I hate you. Taking revenge would be the easy way out. Make you hate me, ruin the memories by tainting them, and send you into a world of doubt. It would be so easy to hurt you, the same way you hurt me. But then we'd just play this game back and forth until we've both had enough, and when it ends the only thing we'll remember is how much we ended up hating each other. So, shut up for a second, and I'll do the same. Maybe in silence, we'll remember why we stopped talking in the first place. |
