I'll be the first to admit it. I'm way beyond pathetic. I'm downright hopeless, utterly useless. Well not quite. But I crossed the line from redeemable to no chance of salvation whatsoever in this life when I actually resorted to searching for your name on the internet. And I couldn't even find you. You are invisible to this world wide web; but you're the last man on earth for me. How sad is that? Way sad, sadder than everything else I have had to go through with or without you. The world does not acknowledge your existence when all I want it to do is scream your name from every rooftop, every mountain, everywhere. Nothing's going to save me now. That much is certain in this uncertain, ignorant world. Cold world that has never heard of beautiful you. (December 19, 2005) |
