It is of functional design Stainless steel and wood It keeps good time Though it was once dropped Knocked the second hand right off It does not seem to mind Knows it can rely on me To set it every night Waking to it's morning chime It just keeps pecking along To the tick tock like that game show "Beat the Clock" Or the back beat of a country western song Guaranteed to make you sigh Just another soap opera With a different battle cry Tick tick tick.......Time (c)bk..2006 |
