       TILL EARTH BECOMES SEA
             by Sarah Elizabeth Hume
You have strayed from my shores
like a ship lost at sea
and for you I will wait
where the sun meets the earth
in cloaks of pink and gold,
with hair the scent of vanilla fields
so that you will remember me.

   I shall be there
until all earth turns to salted sea
and you are swept by my side.
   My love,
for thee I shall always wait
   until land is no more
and we are clothed in water and sky. |
