Where have I known thee?, I know not, perhaps in the elysian fields my soul did mark thine own with heaven's eternal spot. Where have I held thee?, mine eyes can not tell, though like dried pearls of salted rain your memory within my weary flesh does surely dwell. Where have I touched thee?, with loves sweet wine, dripping from thy honeyed lips from goblets encrusted with decadence divine. Where have I had thee?, in the ocean of sky, upon a bed of silken gossamer our tightly pressed bodies did surely once lie. You are the candle I have searched so longingly for, and upon bended knee to you I implore, remember my face, my blue green eyes, remember the place, the flame did ignite. And like the words written in the silver sea, like the memory of roses in the heart of winter I shall always return at once to thee... xoxoxo baby |
