Our eyes met and melted blue into green, like watercolors left in the pouring rain. I resided in cool deep shadow and you in summer gold, but this purest form of beauty grew far beyond what you or I could ever hope to hold. And each night I remain captured by the sea of flaming stars, green locked, intently waiting for blessed blue. But still you do not come and still I do not see you there, is heaven much to grand a scale that the weight of our love may not find the same stair. Build me a ship out of moonlight, with gossamer sails of spun sugar cloud, or perhaps my flesh will bear wings for you and I will venture forth alone. Either way my eyes shall forage, either way my brilliant green shall be, locked on sky forever till I find my waves of truest blue and irises collide together to make the essence of the most glorious and endless sea... |
