I see the light it's blinding ivory pearls beset my eyes, it's beauty is surreal and unimaginable, I feel I can not break away. Still I look back, my swollen eyes filled with rain, my flesh faded into memories, and wonder if you can make it without me, but I know you can. I know you will be alright in this world where dreams are painted in sleepy eyes and flying is something you only do in airplanes. But I will be there a sweet song in the long grasses when the wind blows and catches your dark hair, I will be in every opalescent bubble of your bath water, even in the stone beneath your feet. And then you will know, I am listening, watching, breathing in a metaphoric rhythm, to the pattern of your heart when my head lied upon your chest on so many cold empty nights. Just know it's not our last "good bye", just know simply that I love you, more than warm chocolate chip cookies and staring at the blanketing moon as it bathes the sky in a symphony of silver. Just know that I loved you more than this ended life... |
