Is there anybody in here, still Anybody familiar, anybody I recognize As the survivor I used to be Or at least used to call myself? What happened to that pit bull That anger-infused action trait That got me out of bed and proving That I could beat the hell out of Any thing, or person, or happenstance That thought it could hold me down? That thought it could take the sound Out of the world, the music, out of the world? Is there anybody in here, still Who had way too much energy to spend Sitting on the couch all day Wondering what was going on out there? Is there anybody in here, still? |
