Savor

I savor summer on my skin,
the love of sun on hour's end.
The longer days will surely drown,
in moonlight over-taking ground.
My summer sun lingers on to end,
...like a lover's whiskers on my skin.
A steady love my summer's been,
now counting days
I want not to end
