In the Light of Day

My feet hit the cold hard floor
and as I leave I gently shut the bedroom door

I don't have to go, you did say I should stay
but in the light of day, I'm not sure what I would say.

Loving is easy and fun
but if you want commitment, I'm not the one.

Not right now, not after the year I've had
how could such sweet love have gone so bad?

but it is what it is even if it's wrong
and without a second thought I'm long gone.
