You wanted to know if I believed a person could change their life for someone. I had to be honest, and I only told you what you already knew in your heart. To change, you have to want it for yourself, without promises from someone else. Promises can be broken, as you were broken, from the time we met, into so many pieces. So young when you fell apart, and even the super glue of love couldn't hold you together. I cry for the possibilities that never really existed for you, the possibilities that now can never exist for you. Though you couldn't be pieced together in life, know in my heart you live on whole and I hope in death you have found peace. |
