You were so gorgeous, a challenge that i could never hope to attain and you came at just the right time to offset my losses and leave me throbbing with excitement at your very touch but somehow i missed that through your gorgeous smile there was no brain to be found that your motivations were only selfish ones and that your surface desire was only that: surface you called me only when you wanted something but somehow i missed the whole intention just acknowledging that you had called me more than i called you but somehow i believe i had you hooked your touch, your smile, your occasional kiss all proved that you were hooked on me but i beat the player at the game when i stopped taking your phone calls did that bother you did it upset you it took five phone calls before you stopped calling me somehow its hard to not pick up the phone and call you i saw you the other day you just smiled from a far but played it cool were you brewing deep inside? somehow i wonder were you a player did you really know erica to find that out burned me at my very core i know how unkind you were in your past and sometimes with me but i beat the player at the game and ended up with a better prize at the end-a total equal who makes me smile |
